ANDREW NUTMAN – FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

With over a decade of senior management, investment and launching over 50 medical technologies, Andrew brings a wealth of sales, marketing, management and implementation experience to Samson Medical Technologies.

Over many years of close contact with surgeons in theatres and other medical professionals, Andrew has acquired incredible insights and knowledge of the environment, and the difficulties they are facing during procedures. Once he’d teamed up with leading global manufacturers in the field, his creative ideas have come to fruition.

The outstanding industry knowledge, combined with his global network of like-minded innovators in the medical device space have led to the development of solutions that are directly addressing advanced needs of surgeons during procedures. Yet, above of all, Andrew has always focused his efforts on delivering improved patient outcomes and he is constantly driven by the impact Samson technologies have on their lives.

Andrew’s talent to hand-pick the next best technology in various therapeutic areas, his innovative mindset, and his ability to attract and retain experts in various business functions, have led to building a reputable, growing business, trusted by key leaders in different medical specialties.
A man of the highest integrity, Andrew is also a great communicator, who loves sharinghis passion for medical innovations and motivate others to achieve their heights. He is atrue leader who cares deeply about his team and is always available to provide supportand a helping hand.

In his spare time, Andrew loves spending quality time with his family and is a passionate
fisherman.

MICHAEL-JOHN NUTMAN – GENERAL MANAGER

As the General Manager, MJ is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Samson Medical Technologies business, as well as executing the long-term strategic business initiatives to support our expansive growth. With a background in the IT industry, MJ has held key product management, business management and sales executive positions across several start-up and large global enterprise organisations. As a result of his extensive experience, MJ brings a rich and multifaceted set of skills and practice to the SMT business. He is passionate and focussed on always delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers, partners and suppliers.

Outside of work, MJ enjoys spending time with his partner Heidi and their beautiful sausage dogs, Rocket and Chilli. In his spare time, MJ enjoys all things cycling and is a passionate follower of the Sydney Swans.

ANDREW DEEGENAARS – NATIONAL SALES MANAGER ANZ

Andrew brings more than 24 years of invaluable healthcare experience to his role as National Sales Manager (ANZ) at Samson Medical Technologies .

With an impressive industry track record and 37 years of adept people management, Andrew is a seasoned leader, committed to driving sales excellence and fostering robust client relationships. His extensive healthcare tenure not only provides him with a deep understanding of market dynamics but also establishes enduring connections with surgeons and hospital heads across the region.

Andrew's ability to nurture these relationships, alongside his strategic acumen, positions him as a trusted advisor in the field. 

Andrew's relentless commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction drives his goal of delivering outstanding benefits, fostering success for the company and its esteemed surgeons, and ultimately, enhancing patient procedure outcomes through top-tier products and clinical support services.

During his free time, Andrew is often on the hunt for waves along the stunning coastlines of Queensland and Northern New South Wales, enjoying cherished moments with his family and beloved dogs, amidst the breathtaking beauty of the great outdoors.

 

 

NIKKI DU TOIT – HEAD OF MARKETING

With more than 20 years in various marketing roles, Nikki heads up our Marketing department. Her passion for loyalty marketing and consumer behaviour helps us to focus our communication on our surgeon relationships, providing them with information relevant to their needs and challenges. Nikki works closely with all facets of the business to ensure we have presence in the market and that we have the toolkit to deliver on our key focus of customer satisfaction.

Day to day, Nikki is a wife and mother of two and enjoys watching them excel in their sporting endeavours. She loves baking, reading and going to the gym.
