Dental In-Rooms Allografts

Maxifore® Range

Australian-made human allografts for in-room dental procedures: bone granules, cortical sheets and plates, and soft-tissue matrix.

Maxifore® Granules

Cortico-cancellous, pure cortical and pure cancellous granules, plus an 80/20 cortical–DBM blend. Maxifore describes granules for in-room grafting procedures including ridge augmentation, sinus lifts and periodontal defects; the pure cancellous range is also described for bone void filling.

Cortical Sheets and Plates

The malleable cortical sheet can be cut with scissors and sutured for vertical or horizontal ridge defects and bone void filling. The cortical plate provides a robust scaffold that can be trimmed and shaped. Maxifore also describes sheets and plates for guided bone regeneration, socket preservation and peri-implant defects.

Bone granule options

Specifications below are specific to the named presentation. All four listed granule options are freeze-dried and stored at room temperature.

50/50 cortico-cancellous

50% cortical and 50% cancellous bone combines structural strength and osteoconductive properties for OMF and in-room grafting. 500–1000 μm particles; available in 0.5 cc and 1 cc presentations.

Pure cortical

100% cortical bone granules provide structural strength and osteoconductive properties for OMF and in-room procedures. 500–1000 μm particles; available in 0.5 cc and 1 cc presentations.

Pure cancellous

100% cancellous bone granules are described for OMF and in-room dental procedures, especially bone void filling. 500–1000 μm particles; available in 0.5 cc and 1 cc presentations.

80/20 cortical–DBM blend

A 1 cc blend of 80% mineralised cortical bone and 20% demineralized cortical bone (DBM) for OMF and in-room use. 500–1000 μm particles; the demineralized component is described as supporting bone regeneration.

Each of these listed products is freeze-dried and stored at room temperature; dimensions and handling differ by product.

Cortical sheet · 35 mm

Precision-machined from cortical bone. Malleable and trimmable with scissors, the sheet can be shaped and sutured into position for vertical and horizontal ridge defects and bone void filling.

Cortical plate · 20 mm

A robust structural scaffold for OMF and in-room procedures. The plate can be trimmed with scissors and shaped to suit the surgical requirement.

Acellular dermal matrix

A flexible, pliable soft-tissue allograft that maintains the extracellular matrix. Available in 10 × 10 mm, 10 × 20 mm and 10 × 40 mm; rehydrates for handling and can be trimmed or sutured.
